My Background

I feel very strongly about protecting our children from emotional, psychological and physical harm. It's so very important to lift them up by instilling a strong sense of self-esteem, self-worth and confidence. This is done through using positive reinforcement and connection, validating emotions and refraining from using shame and isolation as a discipline tool. Children truly do as well as they can. They are not adults and shouldn't be expected to act like adults. My approach is to use lots of patience, gentle guidance and incorporate fun as much as possible! At my in-home childcare your child can expect to enjoy music, singing, dance parties, arts and crafts, yoga, circle-time, outside play, dress-up, free play with toys, reading time, and as much snuggling as they need.

My experience as a childcare provider ranges from working at ritzy hotels like the Hilton as a professional babysitter for guests, to tutoring elementary school children, to working as a preschool teacher aide at a wonderful nature-based preschool called Weekdays Preschool. I'm also a mom to a very spirited seven year old who has given me the best childcare training life has to offer. In the future, I'm hoping to be a foster mom as well.
